REPEAT PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS
To order your repeat medication you will need to register for our online services (please visit our online services page to do this).
These are now computer generated.
If you are on regular medication you will be given a repeat prescription slip when you collect your medication. If you need a repeat you do not necessarily have to see a doctor. On the slip is a date for the doctor to review your current medication. You should make an appointment before this date to avoid running out of medication.
There are several ways to request a repeat in medication,
please indicate if it is urgent.
Please note we do not accept telephone requests as it can to lead to mistakes. The exception to this is for the house bound and their requests will be dealt with by dispensary staff.
In accordance with Buckinghamshire Prescribing Policy ALL repeat prescriptions are for 1 month supply only.
Repeat prescriptions will be ready for collection after 48 hours.
We offer a home delivery service for those patients living in outlying villages who are unable to collect their own prescriptions. This service is for the elderly and housebound, please speak to the dispensary manager if you need to.
DISPENSARY OPENING HOURS :

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication, please ask our dispensary staff for further details.
Dispensary staff ask to see expiry dates of all exemptions. Please note that it is your responsibility to renew your exemption certificate every 5 years. Failure to do so might result in a letter being received from NHS Business Services with a fine for fraudulent claims.
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
Payment can be made by Credit/Debit card, cheque or cash.
